Roohi holds a Master of Science degree in Speech and Language Pathology from the National University of Singapore, where she trained to work with children in local and international schools, early intervention centres, hospitals and private clinics. At Thomson Pediatric Centre, she works with young children presenting with a range of difficulties like developmental language delays/disorders, oral-motor,speech and phonological delays/disorders and fluency disorders (stuttering/stammering).
She is a certified member of the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) and the Speech-language and Hearing Association of Singapore (SHAS). She is trained in using Hanen teachniques (It Takes Two to Talk, More Than Words), Physically Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT) and The Lidcombe Program for Stuttering. Roohi is passionate about continually increasing her areas of expertise and strives to deliver quality therapy to her clients. She has a keen interest in working collaboratively with family members and other developmental specialists like occupational therapists, educational therapists, early intervention teachers, psychologists and physiotherapists to provide holistic therapy to the children she sees.
