Pooja completed her Occupational Therapy Degree at the University of Mumbai (India) with Honours. She is an AHPC registered Occupational Therapist with SAOT and Member of AIOTA. She has worked at various pediatric settings in Mumbai before moving to Singapore. In Singapore she was part of the Rehab team at the National Neuroscience Institute, Tan Tock Seng Hospital before moving to Private
She has over 17yrs of pediatric experience and training in the areas of Therapeutic Listening Programme (TLP), DIR Floortime 101, Samonas, MORE (Motor Oral Respiratory and Eyes), Enhancement of Upper Extremity Function in Pediatrics, Sensory Modalities in the Treatment of Childhood Disabilities.
She is also formally and informally trained in Motor Control and its problems and NDT.
Pooja has worked with variety of children ranging from infants to teenagers with various developmental and physical needs including those with cerebral palsy, ataxia, developmental delays such as ASD, ADHD, Coordination Dysfunctions, Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), Dyspraxia, Visual-motor
Dysfunction, Handwriting difficulties and many other learning difficulties and multiple disabilities.
Her special interest lies in Early Intervention of children (0-6 years old) with sensory processing, regulation and social- emotional difficulties. She has worked at The Early Learning Village Campus of Stamford American International School and is well versed with classroom strategies and the
support needed in the child’s coping ability within the school environment.
Pooja specializes in school visits for her clients making recommendations for adaptations within the classroom. She is currently associated with The Stamford American International School rendering her support in the classrooms to help integrate the children to their full potiential individually as
well as in group/classroom settings.
She is passionate about helping her clients through play and looks forward to making therapy fun for children. She believes that a close collaboration with parents, teachers and team members helps devise the best therapy approach for the child so that he/she thrives in the environment despite his/her
difficulties or special needs.
